Until recently, since the 60s it was definitely women who had a more negative view of men, which was largely due to the misandry spread by feminism. But in the last decade or so men have surpassed women in their negative view of the opposite sex. That has been due to two things.
First, men now have groups like MGTOW and MRAs that are just like feminism. They spread hatred for the opposite sex just like feminism has been doing for decades. It was a predictable and inevitable response to feminism thinly veiled misandry.
And second, it has been a response to what modern women have become. The bad behavior of modern women has caused men to become very cynical about women, relationships and marriage. In the past, most men and women saw marriage as the goal, the dream. But that is no longer the case, especially for men. Half of marriages end in divorce, women file 80% of them, and men get screwed in divorce court and child custody. And on top of that, even marriages that last don't offer men nearly the benefits marriage offered our fathers and grandfathers.
Men have a lot of valid reasons to view modern women in a negative light. Women are literally unraveling the fabric of society.
@Lliam You're so right, because there is no such thing as history books or people who lived during those times who can share their knowledge and experiences. Alas, I wish such things existed.
I don't know what you've been reading. But speaking from personal experience, the existence of misandry in the 1970s. 80s and 90s is a myth.
How would it have spread, on TV news, in magazines?
On the contrary, with the advent of "the pill" in the 1960s, one of the popular slogans among the hippie generation was "Free love". By the 70s, it was "Sex, drugs and rock and roll". Things got hedonistic with women's lib.
It's true that there were women's rights activists like Gloria Steinem pushing back against male chauvinism. After all, women were still treated like sex candy. But I never encountered misandry. Women loved sexual liberation and they liked men as always.
I don't think crazy ideas began to spread until PCs and iPhones became popular in the later 2000s and people started living their lives on-line.
@Lliam Thanks for sharing your personal experience, which is clearly different from the experiences of some others.
Do you really think nothing can spread without the internet? Lol
@Lliam Had you actually read what I wrote here, you'd know that's not the case. But whatever.
@Lliam Good, I'm glad to hear you don't think your own personal experiences and perceptions are reality.
It’s probably equal. It seems more like women though these days because they’re allowed to say crazy shit about men that if a man said it, he would get cancelled. Like the whole bear vs man. Women saying we don’t need men. Men are dumb. We’re useless, etc, etc. Men just can’t say it w out serious repercussions.
I feel like men will typically think of women as inferior.
and women will think of men as degenerate.

Based on what I see on GAG, men have a more negative view of women. Such guys are the least manly men in the history of the world. Weak, inept, cowardly, unambitious, bitter, uninformed, self-centered and disrespectful. They are worse than the most bitter, misandrist feminists. And they wonder why women aren't interested in them.
Ask a group of women, "Do we need men"? And you will know
Most of them are too much into their ego and hatred that they don't see the fact that everything they can't live without are invented or built by men
Usually they bring up the "Mother" counter argument to this but when did I say "We don't need women"?
And, just look at the female comment (s) on this question , I think that should give you the answer
In general there is no telling. I can't base off off media, because they look at you and recommend content accordingly. It could make us believe that one side is more negative than the other, so I'll base myself off of this site and this site alone. And from the looks of it, We are more negative towards women.
It is both really, mainly those from each camp that have been hurt emotionally etc. social media just makes it even worse.
Men tend to be the more judgmental while being the most insecure.
Women. Very few men hold a negative view of women. Where as a very loud very ugly and very dumb minority of women have a astonishingly stupid and negative view of men.
Probably men. Yes, there are some Clementine Ford types out there, but there are lot more InCels who hate all women.
the answers that women gave to the man vs bear question is all you need to know
Men more neg on women.
Women more negative on each other.
at least publically? men
a judgy person
Give it to both and put it to bed already.
I’d say it’s roughly a tie
