Why does my friend want me to find a boyfriend so bad?

i'm not looking for a relationship and i've said it million times. i have one friend in class, she's a girl, and ever since she found a boyfriend, we don't get along that well. she started to be fake and almost stopped talking to me. once i told her about one random guy, who i met, and he started liking me (but i never liked him back). she began shipping us which made me really upset. since then she started asking me random questions about him, even told me she was talking about me and him with other friends, which is none of their business? the worst thing is that it made me almost hate that guy friend, i don't even feel like texting him or meeting up with him after this annoying shit from my friend. it all looks like she want me to date him, even though she knows i don't have feelings for him, plus overly analyzes it with others. also she's saying things like: "oh i really like my boyfriend. it's such a great feeling to wake up next to someone you love." like if she wanted to make me wanting the same or jealous, which i'm not, because i don't feel like being in a relationship.

We usually want people to be in a relationship to experience what we are also experiencing if we are in one. I think she has good intentions, but she isn’t realizing that she is crossing your boundaries and not respecting the fact that you stated you don’t want a relationship and nobody is required to be in a relationship in order to be happy. I would suggest communicating how it is making you feel and what it is you want. Continues to assert your boundaries.

But if you want advice; you shouldn’t look for anyone if you don’t want to. Being single is the best time of your life (my opinion). I get why you might be upset, however I don’t think your friend is trying to upset you or be fake with you. I think she just genuinely really wants you to find happiness and a lot of people associate happiness with finding someone special. What people don’t realize however is that being in a relationship doesn’t mean they’re happy and being single doesn’t mean you’re lonely.

My siblings like to try to push me to meet someone because of that reason. They think that just because sometimes I feel sad that I don’t have a partner that I need to meet someone to be happy. However, I’m perfectly happy being single. It means I can crush on whoever I want without feeling guilty, don’t have to buy as many presents during the holidays, and flirt with whoever and whenever I want.

this is a personality and maturity that I think you will find is a lot to manage. She talks non stop, gets her nose into others business, projects her feelings onto others and changes her mind all the time in a second. She lovers her boyfriend now and soon she will trash him and be all emotional. she's overly emotional.

the other indirect reason may be she doesn't want you pulling her boyfriend away.

tell her to shut up... and likely, find a new friend you are better equipped emotionally to handle until you learn more about these personality types. They will "grate" you.
