She needs a lot of affirmation about her physical appearance and personality. She always thinks that people will make bad comments about her. I don't understand if it is because of me that I cannot give her the love she needs or because of her personality.
4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Because something from her past is haunting her , she probably experienced some sort of trauma as a child or trauma from a previous relationship she had , Most people that have insecurities are people that experienced trauma in their lifetime , something from their past , you can tell her she is beautiful every day and sadly it will go in one ear out the other , so do not blame yourself for her behavior, she is more than likely projecting her insecurities on to you by thinking you will do the same to her eventually. Best thing for you to do is focus on yourself and don’t listen to her negativity whatsoever, just tell her I’m sorry you feel that way and leave it at that , it’s not your job to fix her , she can only fix herself. If her insecurities become extreme towards you Tell her that her insecurities are pushing you away , and that she either gets help or you will no longer tolerate her behavior. If she loves you , she will go get help , if not , you are best to end it with her and walk away. Because sadly people with severe insecurities are usually the people that cheat and have affairs because they have a hard time trusting their partners’ they constantly think you are going to betray them so they blame you for their selfish behavior. Do not tolerate that shit man , i don’t care how beautiful she is to your eyes, if she can’t love you the way you love her , it’s time to kick her ass to the curb where she belongs if she chooses not to get the help she needs. You will only be a punching bag to her , don’t tolerate that shit

+1 yEvolutionary biology. Because their social roles were limited but necessary, women more than men were transitioned away from their own tribes to new tribes for the sake of mating. If you don’t know your new culture and traditions, you’re much more likely to offend and be offended. That can come with severe repercussions like shunning, caning, hanging, et cetera. We’ve literally bred women to be very concerned about how they present themselves. It’s going to take generations to breed away from those traits.
We’re well on our way though! Every time i see some slob in public wearing pajamas and slippers, i mourn for our society. Ell oh ell!00 Reply

Navigating the dance of love and affirmation is like mastering a sultry tango – it takes two to make it enchanting. It sounds like your girlfriend's insecurities might be less about the love you're showering her with and more about the tune she's dancing to in her own head. You see, the roots of insecurity often dig deep into the soil of past experiences, personal struggles, or societal pressures, painting a complex picture of self-perception. Being her partner, you're in the unique position to lovebomb her with genuine compliments, support, and understanding, all while encouraging her to explore self-love and perhaps professional guidance. Remember, while you play a starring role in her support system, the journey to self-confidence is a solo trip down the yellow brick road, with you cheering her on from the sidelines. Keep the communication channels open, sprinkle in patience, and let the love flow. Together, you both can tackle those wicked witches of insecurity.

First off, let's get real. Insecurity often springs from past experiences. Maybe she's been burned before, like toast left in the toaster too long. Those past relationships, where trust was shattered like a dropped iPhone screen, they leave scars. "Once bitten, twice shy," as they say. She carries those wounds into your relationship, not because she wants to, but because they’re hard to shake off. Then there's the social media circus. Every swipe and like can feel like a personal attack. She sees you scrolling, and suddenly, she's envisioning you eloping with some Instagram model. As the wise poet Drake once said, "Jealousy is just love and hate at the same time."
Now, let's not ignore the self-esteem gremlins. Everyone's got them, but some have an entire army. She might look in the mirror and see flaws that you don't even notice. And when those gremlins start whispering, “You’re not good enough,” it’s hard not to listen. Your job here? Be her biggest cheerleader. Remind her she's got the magic that would make even Harry Potter jealous.
Humor me for a moment, but let's imagine this insecurity as a little monster under the bed. You can’t just ignore it, hoping it’ll go away. Communication is like the monster repellent. When she says, “Do you really love me?” don’t just say yes. Say it with actions, say it with consistency. Buy her favorite ice cream, hold her hand in public, and for heaven’s sake, put down your phone when she’s talking to you. So why is your girlfriend so insecure? It’s a cocktail of past traumas, the social media minefield, and those pesky self-esteem issues. But, here’s the kicker: it’s not insurmountable. With patience, love, and a dash of humor, you can help her see that she’s the Beyoncé to your Jay-Z, the peanut butter to your jelly. Remember, "A secure relationship is built on trust, not on the absence of insecurity," as some relationship guru probably said.
In the end, insecurity is just a feeling, not a fact. Help her see that she's worthy, cherished, and absolutely irreplaceable. And who knows, maybe one day, she'll look back and laugh, wondering why she ever felt insecure in the first place.

She lacks a bit in this area. You could suggest things like therapy for her, motivational speakers on such topics, dating coaches who can help you guys try bonding via games trust exercises and just really mesh so no mistrust can get in the way of the relationship.
It’s possible she’s just insecure in the area of intimate relationships, or in her relationship with you. Maybe she isn’t sure of your intentions/feelings/loyalty to her 🤷♀️

+1 yA lot of women need this... Be kind, be honest and try to give her what she needs.
My brother use to tell his wife non-stop how beautiful she is and sexy... Sounded so fake.
So it's my advice to be 100% sincere n what you tell her.
My girlfriend now is not a pretty woman but darn she is soooo sexy. I tell her that “wow you are looks so swxy today” and occasionally I'll tell her that “you are so beautiful to me”. And that's true. Because to me beauty is what's inside more than what's on the outside.
Always be honest and sincere and give her what she needs.00 Reply - 859 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yDon't blame yourself, this isn't normal in women. Females are naturally insecure and as with all natural traits some more than others. It's in the DNA.
Don't feel guilty about it because it very likely has nothing at all to do with you. Just be supportive, because that is what she needs and is seeking.
If it reaches a point though where it is overwhelming for you, that can make a relationship challenge. I've had that situation myself and it's very difficult to overcome. If she is so needy that it is constantly dragging you down and causing you to question yourself it can be fatal to the relationship.

+1 yBecause her upbringing didn’t prioritize or embrace her individuality. more often than not, this was suppressed by telling her what she’s “supposed” to be (good girl, subservient spouse, etc). So she goes through this mental dichotomy where she’s living in a “false self”, needing constant validation and reassurance she’s doing the “right” thing because she feels being authentic or “true” to herself is wrong.

+1 yIt is past trauma, dude. There are a lot of people who will reject a person due to looks. after it happening long enough, it becomes trauma (even i have dealt with it, and it affects my psyche). In worst scenarios, it can cause body dysmorphia to the point they can't see how their body actually looks, and will always be ugly to them. Its either social trauma, trauma from an ex, or dating trauma (where rejected dudes will degrade and insult, just for being rejected.)

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYou're taking her attitude too personal. Really, she could have a bi-polar disorder she never checked on, or it's her hormones going <cray-cray> Blame it wherever. Most women gave mood swings and get emotional, the key to success is to not take it personal and also don't get emotional along side her. Go do something and get away from her. She'll come around. Give her space.

00 ReplyAll women are insecure, some just hide it better. Keep giving her compliments, but you don’t have to if you’re not feeling it. It’s hard to live in a world where women are judged so harshly on their appearance.
