my boyfriend wants to buy a second hand car... am cool with his decision but i want him to stay in budget... he has no savings as of now... but he wants to buy a car way out of his budget that too pre owned... with 5 year loan i feel thats a waste... whenever we discuss i tell him to be in budget but he never agrees he wants to buy a car which interests him rather than a budget car for his need... what should i do... should i let him buy whatever he wants

If you're getting a loan you can get much better deals on new cars and then you also don't have to worry about it breaking down.

If you're paying cash it's usually better to buy a used car but nowadays they're way overpriced for what you're getting.
