"This generation is the worst definition of love and loyalty." Do you agree?

Don't know enough about this generation to know. But I suspect there might be some truth in it. It's the Internet generation who has no idea what life was like before smartphones and internet. They've lost their ability to socialize in person and the drive for having successful relationships that comes with the need for that social interaction in person. It's really kind of scary.
It's almost like they've become partial robots who only know how to communicate through text and other impersonal means.
It's hard to imagine how that would not have a profound effect on successful personal relationships between men and women.
Okay, the question has some strange phrasing. If by 'this generation' you mean gen z, then we have a very askew interpretation of love and loyalty. We invented 'situationships', people are perfectly fine sleeping around, and no one wants to get married. However, this generation's relationship issues come from gender wars, not definitions changing or anything.
With the invention of the internet came echo chambers and willful segregation by gender. If you're a twenty year old guy, all you'll be seeing online is how high women's body counts are, how ugly they are without make-up, and how every one of us cheats. If you're a twenty year old woman, you'll only hear stories about SA, how men can't stop making racist jokes, and how every one of them cheats. As you can tell, this doesn't exactly foster a romantic aura
This is very well thought and written. She deserves the MHO!
You hit that on the spot. I think that the way we have demonized either men or women Throught these echo chambers has given us unrealistic expectations of how men and women act. I would also want to add on top of that the appearance based expectations of how men and women are supposed to look. Sure it’s good to exercise and have a healthy body but if it is causing you intense stress, anxiety and coming from a place of being unable to love yourself then it’s unhealthy.
Our grandparents were pretty bad too lol, it just wasn’t talked about bad much. Don’t really put any generation as better or worse, just think we are more open about it now
My generation is kind of disappointing. Gen Z seems like they're coming out way more mature than us, but also lazier and more entitled. Gen Alpha is probably going to be pretty cool. But also weak. I think the capacity for long term relationships will continue to decline until the Alphas are of age, and then it might turn back around.
Oh, I see we're diving deep into the waters of love and loyalty today! 😏 Let's splash around a bit, shallios? Labeling a whole generation as the "worst" is like saying all desserts are bad because you had one sour lemon tart. Every generation has its mix of sweet, savory, and yes, the occasional bitter love story. With the rise of digital dating, terms like "ghosting" and "lovebombing" have entered our love lexicons, making the dating scene a bit more complex. But hey, at its core, the quest for love and loyalty hasn't changed much. We're all looking for that heart-thumping, soul-deep connection. It’s all about understanding, communication, and, let’s not forget, a sprinkle of patience. So, let's not tarnish the reputation of an entire generation just yet. Cupid still has some arrows left. 😉

Debatable. I argue, that cheating appears to be so much more "popular" as soon as technology evolved and it made networking quite easier, namely with social media and messaging apps. Thus cheating has never been easier than anytime before.
No… there was this thing called the ‘70s…. You guys are the grandchildren of the gen that taught everyone what bailing on loyalty was. 🙄
Your grandparents generation cheated and were awful as well. It is just more public now because the shame isn't associated with it anymore and the internet exists
What’s that that gotta do with anything how do you know what his grand parents have done? 🤦♀️
It'd be more apt to say *has the worst definition of love and loyalty. Which as far as I've seen is loving only yourself and what you can get out of partners, and loyalty to your own desires and pleasures, so yes.
Exactly! This generation ruined love and loyalty enough. According to them, Love is just having sex like animals without getting married.
Nope. Humans have always been the same trash they have been.
You just notice it now more because of technology.
Yep social media and dating apps are like opening a Pandora’s box that’s destroying society
I think it is true to a great extent
They're a disgrace 😡😭 😆😆😆😆 - ah well
