I think I'm more fearless than brave. Brave is when you have fears but have the courage to overcome them. Fearless is just ignoring fear and pretending it's nothing or making yourself believe it's another emotion like excitement instead. Similar, but not the same.

When I was a kid I used to be scared of heights but I turned my fear into excitement and learned to love the adrenaline of climbing higher than all my friends to the top branch of a tree that was just barely strong enough (and occasionally not strong enough) to hold my weight. I was around age 6 when it first clicked in my head and I've been an adrenaline junkie ever since. Combine that with an overly competitive spirit and the result is a life full of doing stupid things and winning stupid prizes😂 Always pushing the limit just that little bit too far and paying the price for it.

I consider myself brave in some circumstances, less than brave in others. I wouldn't consider myself a coward in any circumstances.

Definitely brave. I do stand up for myself and people when I see something is wrong and not right.
I think that’s what makes my bosses at work hate me and why so many people at work hate me lol.
I’d rather do the right thing and be a good person and be hated by many for it (they’re all scum anyway 😬) than just shut up and let people do horrible things and get away with it but have everyone like me (fake like me cause some people are just jealous/bitter)
End of the day, why would I care to be liked by people who are in gangs, are racist, always have drama going on and gossip, are fake to their own friends, two faced, drink everyday in the week, blow their money on drugs, list goes on.
I’ll rather stand up for myself thanks.
People always say “you’re gonna end up alone”… don’t threaten me with a good time lol🤣

I know others view us as brave, it just happens to be a job I am able to do along with many others.
I view it as trust vs being brave.
I trust my training, my equipment, my experience and knowledge, the people I work with, the offiicers above me and their exexperience.

No but I have done things that people would consider brave (or stupid, for it's a fine line). Two examples. I've gone in a house fire to save a cat. I have fought off three guys who were attacking my brother. There are people who see both of these things as brave, there are people who see this is as stupid. I just see it as something that needed to be done.
