How to slow down a guy i'm dating who is way too fast?

The guy I'm dating is really way too fast. We haven't seen each other yet but he saw me recently in a chance meeting across the street. Since then, we have been chatting and he is now asking me questions as to whether he has a chance with me. After answering that, he proceeded to fight me saying I'm not being sweet to him and he is very sweet to me so he's asking whether I like him or not.

The truth is I'm getting there still but not fully there yet. In fairness to me, i take time to really like someone. Like 2 years time lol and we have just chatted for 3 months. Anyway, I said he's always fighting me and he said he's just being playful but he's lowkey pressuring me with all these. How do i slow him down so that I can catch up too?

2 years is a ridiculous amount of time, and you will never find someone that is generally good that will stick around for that long of time. Only idiots stick around for 2 years of no progression with someone
