How hard are the moments of "goodbye" for you?

When someone you have loved so much, gave them your everything and did the impossible for them but in the end, they just left with a goodbye or maybe without a goodbye, how hard was it for you? Maybe a spouse, a friend, a sibling or it can be anyone...

When you thought that things will last forever but it turned out that they had an expiry date, they just leave you behind, never looking back at you as if you have never existed while in the past these same people were so attached to you, they spent every moment of their lives with you, sharing everything and they always have sweared that they cannot live without you as much as they loved you but all these moments, words and promises had vanished in a thin air and they went to continue living their lives to the fullest while you're in the back still trying to figure out how things works in this life and questioning why you're available for everyone but no one is available for you! 😐

Goodbyes are hard. It's why there are "buffer" expressions for parting friends and loved ones. "Au revoir," for example, means "till we see one another again" or "adios"/"adio" in several languages means "may god be with you" as you leave one another's company.

The western "goodbye" is oddly dismissive. You'll see folks from european or mediterranean background redirect to "good afternoon" or "good evening" instead because it translates to something less harsh.

Here's a beautiful song I played often since my last breakup. I love to sing along. Very powerful -- sad and uplifting at the same time, perhaps because the man confesses to crying... or the realization that parting is just another thing in life we all have to go through to become stronger and more resilient.

Well if he knew the meaning of goodbye or knew what this song is all about than your ex would of never cheated on you and could of simply kept you with him forever but sometimes the stupidity of a person make them pay the price high and that's if they ever care!

When a married couple truly love each other than there will never be a goodbye because they both won't let it happen, sadly only a few couples knows what marriage is and what real love is, a person who truly loves you will never be able to tell you goodbye or even let you go and for sure you will do the same for him miss dish because you feel like he is the oxygen that you breath everyday to stay alive, which means if he's gone, you're dead or living like a dead person (zombie)!

I hope that from now on, all the people that you welcome in your life and get attached to, will be there for you always and will never reach a point where you or them must say goodbye to the other...

I'll tell you what I miss? The almost military-style time coordination couples do. The hug and see you soon then looking at their watches (or now phones, I guess) to see... Ok, you're working till when? And I'll be done at __... and then a cute little coordination of the timing till they'll see each other again. So sweet.

Well that's the norm miss dish, the housewife will be eager for her husband's return to the house and the husband will be eager to return to his wife at home, you know some people tell me that with time i'll get bored like after 20 or 30 yeara of marriage, i laugh! Does someone gets bored from eating or drinking? How come can i get bored from the woman who is my everything? It's all excuses to cheat and to ruin the marriage, i don't listen to such idiots! I'm ready to bet that i'll never get bored from her!

My best friend had recently died. He moved away in 2020 during Covid. We had not seen each other for about a year before he moved. I wanted to buy him a steak dinned before we moved but it got all messed up with Covid and the next thing I knew he was gone. I wanted to stop and see him next year but he died last November. I di not get to say goodbye to him. It was over 6 months ago and I still cannot get it out of my head. I guess the truth is that I really do not want to.
