What is more important - age difference or compatibility?

Compatibility. Rejecting an adult female I am fond of because she is not in a certain age range seems silly.

The reason why I prefer a lady to be somewhat my age is because there is a high chance that we are compatible.

No offence to anyone who is, substantially, younger than me... I just don't understand the younger generations.

I will treat you as an equal, of course... but I will notice the generational difference.

I like the compatibility idea, BUT I have gone out with much younger women and had dinner with a group of much younger women, (by invitation) but still, I confess, that I felt some reservation, being with such younger girls. I felt so strange that I commented to the waiter - "This is not one of those 'older men' younger women relationships, she is just a work associate and friend" So, age difference is an issue for me in spite of that.

I see compatibility as vital, where as age difference is purely a preference! Providing the ages we are talking about are not illegal or immoral (a 50 year old guy with an 18 year old girl for example might be legal but sounds sick to me)

Compatibility but age difference is important. 20 years is stretching it too far. 10 years could be quite ok. 20 & 30, 30 &40 and upwards are broadly in the same phase of life. 20 &40,
30 &50 etc are in different phases of life.

I believe that if the two people have the same beliefs and are two caring, good people that get each other, age shouldn't hinder that relationship. Because those types of relationships are too far and in between to find.
So, if it's not broken, don't try to fix it. And don't make problems where there aren't any.
Hold on to the people that make you feel good about yourself and can trust that they have your best interest at heart.❤️ A rare find these days.

I take it you are asking me right?
By far, compatibility is much more important. Especially now in these days and time when it is so hard to find someone who is compatible together. Latch on to it. Love it, and keep it close to your heart and if you must, fight for it so you stay together.
I don't mean work hard at it because if two people are compatible there should be more good times together overall. A relationship shouldn't be so darn hard that you have to constantly work at it. You gotta have fun and laughter in the mix along with love 💕 of course.
