Why do people see me as a Trophy Wife?

I’m always dressed nicely, my hair is always done, I have really good hygiene. I’m a nice person. I look like I’m shallow but am deep. My question is why am I always misjudged as a dumb trumpet wife who is just eye candy? I don’t get it. I hate this so much people assume that I am making it or only had made it far because of my looks and that I have low character when that isn’t the case at all.

I mean, you said it pretty plainly there. You always make sure you look nice, and to be judged as a “trophy wife” specifically that means you most likely don’t have a job and live off of your spouse’s income. Nothing morally or ethically questionable in doing so, but if you tick all those boxes along with having a significant age gap between yourself and your spouse, it’s an easy stereotype to fall into.
