Why are attractive successful women finding fewer desirable men to marry?

For fifty years the government with the support of the media has been supporting girls and women while ignoring boys and men.

Public schools have initiated policies to help girls succeed. Moreover, there are larger and far more scholarships for women in college. As a result, three women for every two men are graduating college.

Laws to eliminate the so-called pay gap favor the hiring of women over men. As a result, women who naturally are hypergamous have fewer acceptable men to marry.

Family courts are heavily biased in favor of women. As a result, a larger percentage of men are choosing to remain single.

I don't think anyone really wants to admit it, but the reality is that hypergamy has been repeatedly and clearly demonstrated across countless studies. Women, on average, want men that they look up to. And those men have higher standards of what they expect from a life partner.

If you are a high achieving lady, the guys who can interest you are going to be increasingly difficult to find because the level of achievement they need to obtain is increasingly difficult to attain. And the standard those men will hold you to as wife material are going to be proportionately higher as well.

I say this as an objectively extremely high achieving man.

I didn't become a lawyer, venture capitalist and entrepreneur without also being the kind of guy who is in the gym by 5am. The woman I marry needs to be the kind of woman who thinks that's a good idea as well.

It takes two to tango so whilst women might find fewer men suitable, those men might find those women highly unsuitable.

Men have quite different mate selection criteria and it is more complex than cup size. It is more the nature of a woman that is important to us.

It doesn't matter how successful a woman is, all suitably aged women are on the same level playing field of an appealing nature Y/N. A broke waitress could be a far better deal to me and I earn enough not to consider her earnings as significant.

A single successful woman might only consider a few men, those men are considering all single women. So It is highly predictable he will judge another woman to be better for him.

Probably because the ones you see online are the loudest ones with the highest standards. I agree with all of your other points. Marriage is a trap unless you're building up with someone. Also you don't have to be that attractive or have all that much money if you just put yourself out there irl with women a couple hours every week.

I don't think that most of the guys remaining to be single are truly single, like celibate single. More so that they're going casual instead of into relationships and marriage. I stayed that way for years until I met my wife, like no one else I met made me feel much of anything, so I just kept it at that level.

I was no "alpha" or whatever, just persistent.

Well part of it could be because only about 6-7 decades ago women were only allowed anything by getting approval from their husbands first. Women couldn’t even purchase land without permission from their husband up until 1974. Same goes for having a credit card, having their own bank accounts, and more. Up until recent decades, any success women had were pretty much taken by their husbands given the fact that, for a long time, everything the woman had would be pretty much handed over to the man the second they were married and until they got married, everything the woman had would be her fathers. For a long time, women needed men’s approval to do anything and were taught that they’re nothing and they only belong at home. It’s not that the government is “ignoring men and boys”, it’s that women have faced more systematic oppression than men and the government is trying to makeup for it and assist women in facing people who still believe that and say things like “women belong in the kitchen”. Now that’s not to say that men don’t also face oppression because they do and that’s also an issue.

The more money a man has the less he cares about a woman's money. High-value men want women who are attractive, feminine, won't argue, don't have promiscuous pasts, and won't embarrass them. Not being on social media is a huge plus as well.

What men don't want is entitled, masculine boss bitches who are constantly posting narcissistic pictures of themselves on social media. They are worthless to men regardless of how much money they make.

Because women have unrealistically high expectations these days. 50 years ago 90% of women just wanted a good man who had a steady job and provided for the family. Now most women want men who are tall, good looking, intelligent, rich, tolerant, open minded, to be a mind reader, sexually appealing, etc

Because the majority of men are still conditioned to look down on women. A woman having merit and credentials which exceed him is a threat to his ego. A lot men also take longer to mature. So the woman is left with even fewer options to choose from.

I once saw a show or news clip regarding this and it's because those women standards often are too high and unrealistic.

If they lower their standards a bit lower they will be fine but when you want a man to be a certain height, certain level of education and make a certain income just like themselves they make it difficult upon themselves.

Some want to marry up, financially, socially, and  educationally . I say this because I have been rejected for not having a university degree, even by women who earn 20% of what I do.
