    They had bad parents
There's no confidence there's no love towards themselves they've given up on anything that you have to work for they don't believe in themselves and they're lazy because it's just easier to give up I say b******* I say there's nobody better than anybody
And I say if you want something go out and get it when we were born we all give it a gift that gift is choice we get to choose who we want to be by the things that we say and do that's everything so either you have the confidence and the brains to get what you want or you can just give up... I don't think so

It means they don’t want you. They are just making up reasons that don't hurt your feelings to reject you.

It’s usually an excuse for why they won’t go out with them. Once in a while it’s the truth.

  • Ah, the classic "you're too good for me" line—it's a real heart-tugger, isn't it? Essentially, when someone says this, they might be battling their insecurities, feeling they can't match up to what they believe you deserve. It's like they're holding you up as a Michelangelo masterpiece while seeing themselves as a kindergarten finger painting. Sometimes, it's their way of bowing out gracefully, fearing they'll only let you down. Or, dare I say, it could be a cop-out, avoiding deeper commitment by playing the humility card. The trick is to look beyond the words—see if their actions are painting a masterpiece or if it's really just finger paint. 😉 Always trust your gut and remember, love should feel like two equals creating a beautiful life portrait together, not a solo exhibit.

If he’s an old man in his 30s like me, and she in her 20s for instance. It doesn’t mean he’s a slack jawed string armed soy mouthed sperged out short king with smelly clothes and an addiction to porn and call of duty.

He could be an x-whore mongering current alcoholic thats already in a complicated relationship, who wakes up in night sweats sometimes and can’t go back to sleep zoned out of it sometimes thinking about some serious shot that happened in the past.

Its definitely for the best for everyone if this guy not get involved, and he means it too, its not just some pityful wishful cry for sympathy, fuck your sympathy

It means that other person has their shit together and I don't. I refused to date certain girls back in my 20s because I know I wasn't in the right place yet. I did them a favor.

    One of two things.

Either they lack self confidence and genuinely believe that the other person is out of their league, or they don't feel like they can be themselves around that person.

The second is far more likely.

Their reference could be that the person they are referring to are superior to them, could be in many things such as financially, intelligently, and much more

I'd guess that they sense they will find them frustrating and limiting, and ultimately will corrupt and abuse them. It's a veiled warning of sorts.

Many times they are just trying to make you feel better when they're simply rejecting you because they don't want to be with you.
