Is it true that women get attached to their partner and this doesn’t happen in the case of men?

the age old saying that men aren’t monogamous. That they’re wired to ‘spread their seed’ and sleep around. It’s believed that women get attached to their partner and that this doesn’t happen in the case of men.

i read this convo in reddit and people were agreeing with it. but i have seen some women leaving their long term partner and kids for another man. So what do you think what happens in general?

There is an attachment on both sides just like there's cheating on both sides just like there's monogamous on both sides there's love on both sides there's passion there's less commitment respect trust friendship Bond when you become one with somebody and if you have ever felt that or have ever done that you would know that there is an attachment

And with all the above most couples start out this way but something might happen and then they start going their separate ways instead of working on it and fixing it it's easier to go the other way most people think and women are just like men they want something new they want something different

They want to be loved they want to be pleased they want that Bond that becoming one

I mean if you think about it we really are a lot alike timing is everything we're not all the same but there are moments in time where people change their mind people go different directions opposite directions and some people go out of their way to destroy what they have because they want out

When you buy a new car you wash it every week you keep it nice and clean you take it in and get it oil changed and tuned up and you take care of it because you want it to last a long time you are committed to it
And then if it gets a scratch here there somebody runs into the bumper somebody spill something on the interior instead of fixing it you just allow things to keep happening and happening until you don't want it anymore so it's time for a new one

Or it could be your dream car and no matter what you'll fix that bumper you'll clean that interior you have it waxed and you take care of it you see what it needs and you take care of it you fix it before something happens

I've heard this common rule but really I call bullshit. I'm a man and i can tell you that men get attached too. so i think it really just depends on the person. Now I wouldn't get attached to the person from just having sex with them. there would have to have already been a connection between me and the person, but men get attached as well, just like some women dont.

All humans aren't naturally monogamous. It's a choice if you want to be faithful to one partner or not. It's dumb as shit to think that only men are meant to spread their seed lol. If anything women are more likely to cheat or leave. Think about the divorce data saying 80% of women are the ones choosing to divorce.

Nonsense. Humans aren't spiders; our babies are born EXTREMELY vulnerable and require constant care for longer than some species live to be able to fend for themselves in even the most basic way. A man who knocks a woman up and leaves may have many children, but few will live until adulthood.

Women have kind of the opposite problem- hypergamy (the instinctive tendency for women to search for the best possible protectors and providers as prospective mates, to the extent of abandoning their husbands and sometimes even children) IS a real phenomenon, but instinct is instinct, not mind control, and women aren't crude unreasoning beasts, but humans fully capable of logic and thought.

Sex creates powerful bonding hormones; while it's definitely true that some people are more resistant to them than others, they're very much a reality. This also means that the chain of "proximity leads to interaction leads to affection leads to love leads to sex" doesn't go in only one direction.

Biologically speaking, women do have more of an incentive to only be with one man, and men do have more of an incentive to be with multiple women. Polygamy seems to be what humans trend towards in the absence of higher morals, one man many women, and most men with scraps or nothing.

Dating apps and the degradation of higher morality are quickly bringing us back to this way of life…

Women generally will get attached more easily after sex, but in general, women are so masculine and heartless these days, many of them deny their biology and sleep around anyway

Monogamy produces the best societies and is ideal for raising children, it’s also a fair system for all since almost everyone gets someone else. Someday I will get married, and I’ve no desire to be with anyone but my future wife

In general Men (capital "M") are more than capable of monogamy. There's a bond with the right woman that runs far deeper than anything a quick tryst can give.
