Alright, everyone's financial situation differs. But have you ever been in a situation where you felt they took you for granted after doing so much prior, that they just expect it? i'm 22, I have a fairly good job and have invested some money from my father into property for personal gains... My partner is 33, a restuarant manager. I love him. Recently, I paid for my partners trip, accomodation to see his son. I didn't mind, as I always said he should go (son lives far). But he never paid me back. I paid for his gift for his son to be shipped abroad. I also pay for his work transport (no car), I never saw it as bad. I understood because he always knew where his money was going (low expenses). But recently, his been telling me that he has a loss of ambition and doesn't know where he will be professionally. My family has always despised him but I often stand up for him because I'd want him to do the same for me. However, the situation has me thinking. Does he have a loss of ambition because he feels life is fine to live with me? What's your take? I want to be wrong.

What Girls Said
Yes i had.
I dated my ex over than 2 years ago. I dated him for 3 years buy I financially supported him for 2 years. I paid for everything, groceries, clothes, foods, phone, all the bills while he is not even working. He couldn’t find a job because he is foreigner here and doesn’t have work visa. So it’s so hard for him to find a job, unless part time job or English teacher.
But he cheated on me.
So my advice for you is, never date a man who can’t even take responsibility for himself.
Thank you for your advice and sharing a bit more about your experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that. You deserve the world for your kindness <3
I seem to remember reading a very similar story only a short while ago.
In today's day and age, it doesn't surprise me. Economy is pretty wild. Anyways, what do you think?
Fortunately I have never found myself in such a position... However, if I did I would certainly be looking extremely closely at this "one way financial situation", which I can assure you would not continue for very long.
I would be questioning his integrity and more so his total lack of ambition, which would come to the point of me telling him that if he's unable to get off his lazy bone idled backside and sort himself out extremely quickly, then my own personal "bank doors" will be very firmly closed.
Nope it's not my jobs to be a mother
