Hey so I have been raised in a strict family where having boyfriends at the age of 15 wasn’t acceptable where my parents always had to be right. I’m 30 years old now and when I was 16 and 17 I practically helped raise my brothers and changed their diapers and stuff whilst bottle feeding them to when I tell my parents as a reminder that I helped them raise my brothers they think I made it up from my head. The reason I’m saying this is because my younger brother understands me he seems to have a bond with me ao when I explain things to him he listens.
All I wanted to do was tell my parents he listens and understands if we tell him but than praise him for doing what he’s told and yeah my parents aren’t wrong I never said they were but instead my mum gets into a fight with me when my sister tells my mum the very same thing I told her she listens to her I feel like growing up my mum and sister formed a bond and I was left out!!!
When I had a job I was touched by a male coworker when I didn’t want to be I came home wanting to tell my mum but she was soo into my sisters problems I didn’t wanna stress her out with mine the point is I feel like she’s not hearing me we had many arguments where my own mum would tell me to go die under a car or jump on the roads many times where my mum has said I been a bother to her growing up when I really have not! I just don’t get why she’s different to me and my sisters.
My mum treats my younger brother different to how she treats my older brother just like how she treated me and my sister it’s pissed me off to a point that we constantly argue my dads had enough to but it got to amount where I fought back and said she’s not worth fighting with cause she’s being pathetic she seems to forget I had to do things for myself all my mum can say is that they taken me to places but what kind of help is that really!!!
I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this growing up or if it’s just me
