I do this often with my boyfriend even though we only live 15 minutes away from each other lol. My boyfriend experiences night terrors in the sometimes and it seems like my presence comforts him. He always falls asleep first but I don’t usually hang up just in case he wakes up in the middle of the night looking for me.

Honestly, people’s responses to this always catch me off guard. At first, I didn’t think sleeping on a video call was something I’d ever be comfortable with. But when it’s with someone you truly love, it’s such a different experience. There’s something deeply calming about falling asleep knowing the person who means the most to you is right there, even if it’s just through a screen.

For me, being in a long-distance relationship has made moments like this really special. When I was younger I used to do it often with my boyfriend because we were long distance, so it was kind of like being together.. A lot of times I would have to wake him up for work too because he wouldn't get up because we were up late talking.

I wouldn't be a huge fan of this but if for some reason it helped my partner I'd do it.  I move a lot when I sleep and I also play brown noise but if it helped them, why not.
