How do you show appreciation to your partner?

Just want good, sweet, and wholesome vibes to bring joy & serenity. Answer any example of you showing appreciation to your spouse, girlfriend / boyfriend, partner, etc. Just has to be a way for you to communicate appreciation to that special woman or man in your life.

There are lots of things that I do for him. Instead of listing that, I want to give him some props.

When we first started dating, he showed up with muffins and bagels at my dorm for me and my three roommates. That’s a good guy right there.

Well I'm single, but I show my appreciation by cooking and baking. I view food as my love language. Like yeah I'll buy them a gift, but I like to show them my appreciation through food and words of affection

My girlfriend baked me a goodie to show appreciation in what I do and I loved it! More than just the cooking / baking alone, I loved the dedication to her skill set and showcasing our love through the medium. It is an art form after all.

I participate in activities she enjoys but I'm ambivalent about. I don't do things I really don't want to and don't expect her to do that for me, either.

Cycling and theatre. I usually enjoy them when I'm there, but I'd often rather be doing something else.

Awww i do a lot to comfort him, to give some examples.

When we started to date which came out of nowhere and so fast that our friends was like holy never saw anyone getting so fast along with each other, the first weekend of us i was laying the full 2 days at his chest with my head talking with him letting him know how sweet he is how much i feel safe, i gave him all my trust and im still doing.

I try to make him happy every single day like waking him up before he needs to go to the work on the sweetest possible way, when his mood drops i try to get something out of the store for him to cheer him up and i always try to support him mentally and physical

Aww thank you. And people forget thar giving can be rewarding as much as receiving. I love doing special little things or seeing something for my "special guy". Makes me so happy to know I made him happy.

You’re welcome, yea I totally agree. It is so rewarding & such a nice feeling knowing you are doing a good deed that shows your special someone appreciation, love, etc. even in the littlest things possible. Makes us as people happy when it makes them so happy. It doesn’t even have to be special someone, could just be a close friend, neighbor, relative, etc. Spreading love is a great feeling.

Yes so true. I've done nice things for elderly people that bring me joy as much as them.

I just... in my relationships.. find I give abd they don't give back. And that is disastrous. I don't give in order to receive but I think it's wonderful if it's a mutual desire to make each other smile and happy?
