It recently occured to me that I need to be a better girlfriend. I appreciate my boyfriend and I'm loyal to him but I don't know how to love him as good as he deserves. I'm not bashing myself because I am a good person with a good heart, I strongly believe in karma and having morals so I try to do the right thing. But I never had to be more than a pretty girl for men to give me gifts and dates. I always assumed the dating phase with men was a hoax because I never knew a man to be genuine. My boyfriend isn't like that. He surprised me. He is genuinely a great man. I have never cooked for him or given him a gift that cost more than $100 because I haven't made time. He deserves the best. I don't know what to give him because he doesn't ask for anything.

surprise him and do something for him you always wanted to do but never had the time. Like invite for dinner and cook for him. Since you have never done that he will catch it´s something special. It doesn´t have to expensive as long as it´s genuine. Sure it shouldn´t be the cheapest dish you could think of but you don´t have to make something expensive either. Invite him for dinner maybe on a Friday/Saturday night so he´s not working the next day and just tell him that you wanted to do something for him after what he has done for you and just tell him. He´ll appreciate that for sure.
