These are "love languages" and each person has their own, and you have to figure out - or ask - what theirs are.

For me, it's physical touch and quality time, but the next person may want something completely different.

These are things you need to KNOW about someone BEFORE you commit to a relationship with them, because not everyone is compatible with everyone else, and once you have committed, you either have to deal with it forever or you are just wasting your time and effort on a relationship that can't last. It's FAR easier and smarter to end the relationship before you have committed than to waste months or years into someone that you have no long-term future with. But that requires up-front discussion that most people are too lazy or too fearful to have, so they just get into more doomed relationships instead.

You should know what you partner considers to be of a value material or sentimental and not what you think about it. I was in a relationship a while back and I would wait her birthday to do something special so I got her a new car and the next year another one because no one ever did that for me and I thought it would show her how much I loved her.


If I wasn’t so arrogant then and had paid attention I would have known that some flowers and a dinner at a certain spot was really what she wanted the woman hates driving and a car to her is an object that takes you from A to B and most of other things men traditionally gift that I already knew in her own words is “just stuff” lol


So my advice to any of you boys and girls is to pay attention, your awareness and understanding of your partner is the best gift.

Mine is physical touch.. my fiances isn't he dosnt like physical touch all that much... his is acts of service and I'm very disorganized... I try to do my best to make sure the house is clean, I hate cooking but il cook for him and even go out of my way to get him an ice cream on my way home.

Even though these little things don't mean much to me. It makes him feel loved by me it means a lot that I'm making an effort.
Same goes with him. He dosnt like cuddling but will make an effort to cuddle me even though he's a bit uncomfortable with it. Because it makes me feel loved. And it really does mean the world when he cuddles me.

You love somebody by protecting their self interest and being honest about your concerns when you see them doing things that are low key harmful like eating junk food, spending too much time with bad friends, neglecting their school work or job for social events, working too many hours to get things done etc…

well I guss you try show love the was people like love like how he or she would like you to show your love. also it how you show love I like to show love by helping someone and I like it if they try to help me. I like to give love by Acts of servitude or Flowers or gifts.

I like get love back by Acts of servitude or sometime just nothing or verbal affirmations if I feel it real and not over the top or down to much or when I down nothing good.
