Are you for or against posting your SO on social media?

Some people get upset if their partner doesn’t post them, and others don’t want to be posted or don’t care either way.

Personally I don’t post my partner and he doesn’t post me, we don’t share each other or our relationship online. It’s what works best for us as we’re private people.

It’s nice to have a few photos with your partner / significant other that you both are ok with posting online, and not make yourself look like a person who’s “single” or “available” to the opposite gender…

I feel that people who lie or hide or who aren’t serious/ playing the field still are the ones that are against any posting!!!

I would personally be suspicious if my partner never let me post anything at all or if he never had anything posted on his about us- if they’re serious about me it shouldn’t be an issue to post stuff about us!!!

I mean there’s nothing to hide if he’s met my family and I’ve met his and we all have the same group of friends!

unless they have a job ( like a secret agent) that doesn’t allow public media posting or if they’ve been in a life/death situation and wanna keep private then that’s a different story altogether

Depend, if he doesn't post any pics or aren't on social media I don't care if he don't post me but if he does post hundred of pics everyday with his friends, family etc/... and don't post one of me I would be suscipious and find it weird.

Meh. I don’t really post on social media that often to begin with. I do have pictures of me and my partner, he has pictures with me on his page.

But I’m over the “obsession” of who’s posting what. I’m secure enough in my relationship to not need social media validation. It’s a bit of a highschool mentality to me.

I think it depends on the time frame of the relationship frankly , I dont mind it , but I would want to post straight away , if you are certainly an SO then no problem at all.

As long as its not too much.

I'd rather she not have social media because it will likely lead to problems, but if she does, there needs to be a picture with both of us together stating we are in an exclusive relationship, and she needs to block anyone that ever tries to flirt with her. And any provocative/revealing pictures getting posted equals the relationship ends.

I am married and my husband doesn’t have social media. He only uses YouTube and Twitter so nothing much to share there. I post my husband on fb/ig once in a while on special occasion maybe like Christmas, Thanksgiving or Birthday celebration.

Eh... just so long as she isn't holding herself out as a single woman. I think that if you are going to have a social media presence in a relationship, it's kind of disrespectful to not make some sort of indication that you are entangled.

@Anastacia1989 Yeah. You don't need to make some huge song and dance about your relationship. It's not hard to make some indication on your profile that you aren't single. Relationship status buttons exist on FB for a reason.

And even if someone wants to get weird about changing that status button, just don't make your posts seem like you are actively single.
