But, at some point, his importance assumed a lower position and another man, most likely a man near your age, became the most important guy in your life. When did that happen? When you started getting a crush on boys? When you started dating? First kiss? When you became sexually active? When you agreed to have an exclusive relationship? When you got engaged? How did your father respond to his loss of status in your life?

No. Because virginity doesn't mean anything. It's not special. I wasn't even truly in love with the guy I lost it to. We were dating but it was my first official relationship and as we all know that first one doesn't last in highschool lol. It just doesn't.

No guy will ever replace my father in my heart. It's a different love completely. He's my dad.

My dad was probably my number #1 guy until I was 17 and he left my mom for another woman. At which point it felt like he betrayed me as well, since he left me to have to live with my crazy ass mom on my own. Since I defo couldn't live with the retard he chose as a new girlfriend :( Family was always first to me until that point.. tho I didn't get involved with a guy until I was 20. Then at 22 I left the country to run away from my whole family with that guy lol.

He wasn’t number #1 at all. He was a deadbeat that preferred being a better father to his son instead. I had a great grandfather though, he passed but he’s still first place in my heart.

I worked for a man at an environmental engineering company. He was my immediate supervisor, so he got to know me pretty well.
He knew I didn't have a father, and one day out of the blue he said to me "Your father really missed out by not knowing you"!!
