Why do people get mad when you don’t want to be friends after they reject you? Are people that desperate for friends?

I don't get that either. But I think it's because the rejector is kind of selfish. Because man or woman I think it's NORMAL to want to distance yourself from that person after being rejected. At least to get your head straight. And I think it's selfish for the rejector to not understand that. And if the rejector isn't sensitive to that it kind of speaks volumes about what type of person they are.

Whenever I’ve rejected a guy, I’ve never expected us to stay friends. At this point, I’m surprised if they continue to be my friend.

Agreed I've answered this question by several women on here about a guy they rejected. And they were angry because the guy was ignoring g/avoiding them. And I always say put yourself in his shoes. And then they said "how long is he going to act like this". And I said it might be temporary, it might be permanent. But if it's permanent then you probably didn't have as deep of a friendship as you thought. So just let it go. Because if he REALLY valued you, he'll be back. But if you're TRULY a friend to him you'll understand that was a blow to him and gi e him time and only be there if he needs you. You can't rush this.
