Isn't the current injustice done to some men the result of some abusive male ancestors?

Let me start of by saying that no, I do not hate men and actually feel bad for some injustice done to the innocent ones. I just want to point out why the police is nowadays very highly involved in domestic cases and takes the woman's words for it most of the times, why some fathers have a hard time getting shared custody of their children, why the marriage and assets issue over the last couple decades, why has dating become so hard, etc.

There was a time, injustices were done to our women of the past and for a much, longer time than the backlash (a ''see what that feels like, done it's payback'' time) done to men. I know, in the end two wrongs don't make a right and I agree with that. The thing is that some husbands of the past were terrible. A woman in the early 1900's didn't have law enforcement on her side, if her husband slap her around it would be excused or she would get blamed for making him mad. She had to tolerate getting cheated on. Not just that but at times, the man even had an affair child with the mistress and leaving him would be getting thrown in the streets (in poverty) and losing her children. Those were times she was really at the man's mercy. That's what happened if she ended up with an abuser or cheating husband back then.

Now not all men of the past were bad. Neither of my great-grandfather ever hit our great-grandmother nor cheated. Luck for them. They got lucky to have a good man but not all women in the past were lucky. So yeah it's pretty much a backlash for all those miserable years brought by some bad men in the past.

Think about it, in an ideal world there would be no cheating nor abuse. If those men of the past would've never cheated nor abuse our women of the past (if they never would've taken advantage of how easy things were back then)... would we be having these law enforcement and marriage clauses? Nope. Everyone would be happy.

Well yeah you make a good point that in domestic abuse cases when cops show up it is often assumed that the man is the bad one and the woman is the bad one though I think it boils mostly down to:

A) Abuse cases were by men (men got drunk then became abusive in their drunk state since they had money to drink & were stressed after work and would self medicate / lay off some steam)

B) Men traditionally are strong, aggressive, rigid, and hot headed compared to women being seen as weak, feminine, soft, polite, well mannered, and dainty (Stereotypes are still around you know)

C) It is more common for women to come forward while men tend to stay quiet about their abusive situation whether for pride & ego or not wanting to get the person in trouble or perhaps they don’t want their children to grow up with only a father/mother which puts a damper on things & causes an unstable household also FEAR of not being believed / supported since historically it has been men who have been abusive to their wives which could end up with him being handcuffed not her / Even fearing family members & friends taking her side over his…

Thank for being understanding. Like stated, some men in the past were gentlemen (not all were bad) but the bad ones always ruins it for the good ones. Bad news (esp if it's done over the years, till people get fed up with it and create laws) get spread a lot faster than good news.

Injustices of the past have nothing to do with today's injustices. Women today are not victims of what happened in the past, and men today are not responsible for those things. The only thing that matters today is addressing today's injustices, not making excuses for them.

The amount of women wanting marriage and kids have outnumbered (by a wide margin) the amount of men wanting the same. Fewer women are happy with just being a girlfriend forever meanwhile almost any man would just want to stay at just boyfriend status by a large margin. I know the issue though. Then there are several men struggling to have visitation rights for their child; men that actually want to be in their child's lives but the mom has full custody and kicks him out.

Just like I can't be forced to have kids with someone I'm not even engaged with and continue wasting my years as a childless girlfriend and let my fertile years die. So it's like we're at nothing. Everyone is losing. What is best for him, it's one-sided and it's bad for me. There should be a deal, in which it's good for both parties, not just one.

I agree in principal. But think about it... why should men agree to marriage when women and the legal system have collaborated to make it such a loosing proposition for modern men? Why should men agree to marriage when they KNOW they are handing over their legal rights to a woman with a 40% likelihood she will choose down the road to divorce him, ruin his life, take his children AND his assets from him. Why would a man in his right mind CHOOSE to di that.

The ball is in women's court. They are the ones who have created the condition where men don't want to marry, and they are the ones who need to change it. The onus is on women, not men.

It then goes back to cause and effect. Why did women created the condition? Why do we need law enforcement and courts to protect us? Some men in the past were horrible and took advantage when things were easy. So both genders have to now collaborate and work together to get this solved.
Honestly, if the system has removed would you men then not take advantage of things again, not abuse us (man coming home drunk and beating his wife and/or children) and not be serial cheaters? If things were made easy again, then what should be done to the bad men that abuse and cheat?

The fact is that today's women are destroying marriage for everyone. As long as women continue filing 80% of divorces and taking advantage of the legal system to screw their husbands and ruin their lives, men are not going just overlook that and jump in anyway in the interest of collaboration. That would be insanity.

The onus is on women to fix the problem they have created for both sexes.

If the men of today are paying the price of the men of the past, then according to this, the atrocities that happened to women in the past happened because those women were also paying the price for their earlier sins.

A wife can beat her husband but the husband has no right to call the police because as per the law, he cannot be beaten, if he gets seriously injured he has to get himself hospitalized in critical condition only then he can file for divorce and he has to give a lump sum settlement to his wife and no charges will be filed against him because the court does not want to discourage women from reporting, so she is free to report whatever she feels and there are no consequences and now it is the business of clever women. Even now, only 10% of women are misusing these laws, there is no data but I have estimated according to the number of cases filed compared to our huge population

@Asker Maybe, but a great way to reduce that risk is to not live w/ their women. A lot of times what happens is they get caught in their emotions and bring their issues in the house. If you have the ability to just go to your own place you can avoid being caught up in their problems.
