Can a period of separation make couples stronger?

My wife and I have been living separately for about a month, I am in the US and she's in Europe.

Of course we separated out of necessity for family business and not because we actually wanted to split up, but this period of separation made us feel how much we value each other and how much it sucks to be distant.

I came back for the weekend and it was extremely sweet to reunite and she was overjoyed. Since my business in the US will continue into next year, she agreed to look into her visiting me as well so I can introduce her to my neighbors and business partners and friends.

Well I know for sure she's happy to have me back - I was supposed to fly back to the US tomorrow but I wanted to have more days with my family so I posticipated to mid-week.
When I told her so she started to yell "Yes!" hug me and even jump up and down.

It can if you are both on the same page with things , it sounds like your situation is fine , because you both still love each other and you both understand you have to be apart for the business. Do you and your wife still communicate on a daily basis , or is there long period of gaps where you both don’t communicate? If there are gaps then that could be a red flag , Someone that truly loves you will not go days without talking to you or hearing from you , the phone works both ways , When I use to travel for work and be away from my wife for a week or so , we made sure we contacted each other every day we were apart , we would talk before we went to bed , if she didn’t hear from me or I didn’t hear from her then that could of been a red flag but we never did that to each other , When I finally got home , we were so excited to see each other and right to the bedroom we went , so if you aren’t experiencing that with your wife , then the distance might not be a good thing

We call each other every day, usually when she's about to go to sleep and it's afternoon for me. I had to sped up my visit back because last week she called me in tears because she woke up suddenly and felt lonely.
