Is it really necessary to break up with a good partner?

Partnerships, relationships, and friendships all derive on making things work and cooperation with eachother to finding solutions together which make a bond stronger. So if both people are always willing to cooperate with eachother and willing to help make things work no matter what happens, then breakups just shouldn't happen.
However it seems like as soon as one side refuses to cooperate and communicate, they just pull the plug on the relationship and it all just ends despite them being with someone who is always willing to listen communicate and cooperate.
But yeah basically what I'm saying is i think breakups never really Absolutely have to happen if the partner is honestly good. What does need to happen is better cooperation understanding and communication from both.
It may be just because I'm just a guy that never really sees the need to break apart good things that honestly aren't broken. Until something substantially bad happends. Like if your partner just treated you like shit in every way then yeah i could see people not being willing to try anymore for a person like that then.

But what do you think? Can't most breakups be avoided?
Yes I think things could be worked out
Nah they just want to end it. so just move on
Connections are hard to maintain. I'd rather just be alone
