Depends if they are worth it to me or not, for me to put my guard down to the point I'd go out of my way to fight to keep someone in my life will depend if they truly showed enough effort from their part at some point in time to convince me they are worth fighting for, if I see lacks of effort or see myself putting more effort, I will only push enough before I see no results and I let it all go, I have gotten used to having to let go and not look back, it only gets easier for me the more I do it.
