Both are working hard. We have currently only one wage coming in because I'm at home with our child but we do better than a lot of others who have two wages coming in because of the way we manage our finances with zero debts, sticking to a budget and of course we own our home and our cars. We buy in bulk and we prep food. We make do when we have to and invest in quality that will last with anything we buy for the home. I read somewhere that 60% of Americans will spend 1/3 servicing the intrest on their debts alone throughout their lifetime, that's not even the actual debt.
