I've had a crush on this guy since the beginning of my college year, but I found out that a girl I know (though not very well and not close with her) also likes him. She has a crush on him and some other guy. She even asked me if I could become friends with him (my own crush) so she could get closer to him. It feels so weird because I like him honestly and I really wish I could be his friend. what would you do in this situation?
1 yThere was a time I would have been "nice" and tried to help her out. But I'm not as nice now. I'd tell her "No, I will not do that for you. I barely know you and I don't appreciate the way you are imposing on me". Be gentle, but don't back down. She'll probably be nasty in return, but just walk away and let her play her little games. She is not worth your time or worry. I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but that type of girl is BAD NEWS and you cannot save her or help her. Run. Away.
Girls like that think they can manipulate everything for their benefit, and at first it seems that way. She's the rumor type. But you maintain your character and dignity and let her sink her own ship.
As for you, smile at him and say hi often. Be genuine. If the opportunity presents, ask him a few thoughtful questions. Pay close attention to how he responds and take it from there.
It's not your job to be a bridge for someone's else's dating life. Hope this helps! :)

4.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Well, if you have always liked him and you still want to do nothing about it? I don't know but it seems like you are waiting for him (this guy) to come to you and be your friend?
Things do not work like this. Sure you can always have your reasons to wait and If you want to keep waiting then you can keep waiting but the world and time does not wait.
Anyways, now to the action part. Since you said you have liked him then you have to take a step towards it for friendship, at least try at the most what will happen? he will say no and refuse. It will hurt for a few days then you will be fine. However, if you never try then you will live in regret and that will hurt you more and for your entire life (maybe)
Hence make an effort and try for friendship with him. If you don't make any effort then as I said, the world and the time will not wait. The other girl will then take her chance irrespective of what you tell her it does not matter. Hence what I suggest is take action now otherwise you will live in regret.
If you still don't want to try or you are hesitant then fine, make up your mind and forget about this guy. Let go completely of your feelings for him and just live your life.
I think this answers your questions

If she's got a crush on two different guys and you have a crush on one of them then it's really up to the dude in that situation. It actually seems kind of rude for her to just come up to you when she barely knows you and the first thing, she asks for is a really personal favor when you're not even friends.
You aren't like best buddies so you're not betraying her or anything like that. At the end of the day, it's the dude's decision If he likes you, her or neither of you so I say shoot your shot and if she has a problem with it too bad because you owe her nothing. You shouldn't dodge a guy you like just because there's more than one person who has a crush on them or dating is 100% impossible.
Go for it. It's not her place to ask that and you have no obligation to make yourself sad to make her happy just because you "Kind of know her". If she makes a fuss about it tell her to kick rocks and go for her other crush instead.00 Reply

Meanwhile if I like a guy I try to stay low key about it for a few reasons, one being that I want him to choose to be with me (as opposed to being nagged into it by me, our friends, etc.) Not in that “pick me” way, but… I’ve been married to a cheater, so I want to make sure the next guy is choosing me without reservation and with the understanding that he’s expected to be on the serious, exclusive path if he’s with me. And I’m willing to go slower. A girl who insists on a fast track commitment seems shady to me.00 Reply

As a relationship coach on Girls Ask Guys, my advice is to always follow your heart, sweetie! If you truly like him and want to be friends, don’t hold back. You’re not obligated to play matchmaker for someone who isn’t even that close to you. Just remember, love triangles can be like rollercoasters - thrilling but a bit dizzying! Be genuine, focus on building that friendship, and see where the magic takes you. 💫

1 yThen you better approach him before someone else does. Irs probably not just you two it’s probably a lot of people.
You can even see if he will date you both…. Not long term but eventually you want to sort of find out whose more compatible in the end. If that makes sense

Anonymous(25-29)1 yI will become his friend or more, but not because she wants but because I want to have him. It doesn't matter to me that who else likes him, but because I like him I will surely try to have something with him. And lastly it's upto him to choose whoever he wants to have. Only thing I can do to try for myself.
But yeh same time I would never try to set her up with my crush myself. I like him, so why should I set any other girl with him. She should try for herself her own, I would try for myself.10 Reply- 853 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
1 yHard situation but I can tell you what I'd do, depending on who liked him first I'll settle something with the friendship I'm being loyal too, you can try telling her you like him too and don't know what to do if you want to remain friends with this person, all I know is that in friendships this is a code and usually whoever likes the person first or calls it first should have the rights, unless y'all settle something and both come up with something, all I know is that they trusted you with that information, you can't control your emotions but you can share your emotions and if you caught feelings too then it does complicate things, there's plenty of fish in the sea, it's something to consider.

Or do nothing and wait for miracles to happen?

1 yWhy does it matter? He doesn't like you. You've liked him since the beginning yet he's never made you a girlfriend, never taken you out on a date which means he doesn't notice you nor find you attractive. so why does it matter if someone else likes him?

Anonymous(18-24)1 yMe personally knowing what I know now, I would do nothing… If the other person doesn’t make their move then I’m making mine.
The thing is, no one owns anybody else and if you aren’t the one they’ll reject you / will pick someone else… If your friend was meant to be with them, it would be meant to be. It is their happiness & heart on the line so, if their heart & happiness don’t choose you then it doesn’t. Allow them to find out on their own who they will date.

1 yI'd take your chance with the guy sooner than later. Neither of you are in a relationship with him, you're not close with each other, and you deserve to be happy, but he's fair game. So go for it or wonder what if.
10 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I'd say no. What did you think? That the guy would never meet a woman for years while you did nothing about him? If you're smart you will find excuses to spend time around him OR just forget the guy completely.

1 yIf you like a guy but someone you know likes him too, approach the situation with honesty and respect. Consider discussing it with the other person to avoid misunderstandings, and let the guy make his own choice without pressure. Focus on maintaining healthy relationships and boundaries.

Opinion Owner1 y@Mrtcn01 no I didn't have sex until marraige. I remember the first time i met him I was 14 and I shook his hand and it was instantly dripping wet, I couldn't speak. Had never been intrested in boys before then and had my first wet dream that night, like I had to flip the mattress.
