Yeah it's totally unfair. I guess it's also hard to do something you no longer desire as well... and this isn't just for couples of an older age. There should be communication. First the woman (or man as that happens too sometimes) should discuss it and reassure their partner and then seek medical help. Failing that maybe discuss an open relationship or other ways the sexual partner can still get needs met. Being in a relationship means you accept responsibility for both of you not ones own self only.

That really depends on the reasons. If there is nothing wrong. If she loves him and is happy with the relationship (which is prib number reason desire goes when unhappy) then some herbal supplements might help with hormones and then increasing intimacy and romance. In a way that is not sex. At first. As mustn't feel like only reason is for sex directly.
