Need advice please about my boyfriend?

I told him I was on my period last month and this month. I tell him every month when I get my period because they just get so bad for me to the point that I faint and I throw up sometimes from them (it’s truly awful for me ) I sent one text to him this month just saying that I had started my period and that was it and then he treated me terribly, he told me to “ suck it up and deal with the pain” and he also called me just to tell me he didn’t want to hear about it ( it was completely out of the blue ) So I need advice about him and how often is it ok for me to be telling him and be bringing it up to him? Him and I are both 22 and this is the only issue I have but other than that everything is fine. If this helps him and I have been dating since senior year of high school we know each other from in person, and throughout college ( but we’ve been long distance in college) since we ended up going to separate schools.

On one hand, he sounds quite insensitive and uncaring. I mean, if you're in a relationship with someone and you want and expect it to last a lifetime, you SHOULD be interested in ALL aspects of what your partner in life is going through and at least TRY to be helpful and supportive in their times of need.
On the other hand, he sounds like your typical guy!! They seem to have it in their heads, SOMEHOW that if they have to so much as HEAR ABOUT a girl's periods will suddenly make his balls drop off!! I REALLY don't understand why guys are like this about periods!! Women have been having them for probably millions of years, it's PERFECTLY natural and normal and is just a little bit of blood!! If I had a girlfriend, I'd at least TRY to do what I could to keep it from being as much of an ordeal to her as I possibly could! Pampering, a gentle massage if she needs it, what have you.
Sit and discuss it his fears about it with him sometime and maybe you two can come to some meeting of the minds about it.
I used to know a girl that'd pass out from her periods from time to time but, it was QUITE understandable with her because she not only had very strong ones that caused her to lose a lot of blood but, she'd have one every WEEK!! I forget what she called the condition. I lost track of her about 20 years ago.

For some guys, it's hard to empathize with a female's pain. The thought process is "Well every other female goes through with it. Why would my girlfriend be one of the few that deals with it poorly? Is this what I have to deal with for the rest of my life?"

At least that's the thoughts that might have run through my head when I was younger (although I never said anything as terrible as your boyfriend did). I guess his patience with it just hit a breaking a point. How long have you guys been together? Maybe if it was a one time thing due to frustration, then it's okay as long as you guys talk it out. But if this is how he's going to be and he's just not an understanding or empathetic guy in general, it's better to drop him asap.

Personally, it's WAY too TMI for G@G as well. No one here needs to know the extent to which you get whatever discomfort you get with the coming of your monthly bill. Go see a doctor if it's that bad.

What's your reason for telling the guy? Was he trying to have sex with you while you're surfing the crimson tide? If so, you just politely say "not this week, babe" and ultimately he catches on. No need to get into what products you use or any of your ailments. At all...

whenever i tell my partner i have my period or cramps or pain, he does everything for me. it's what partners are supposed to do! this guy... just ain't it. imagine if you ended up in the hospital for something, he'll still treat you the same, because you don't feel well. do you really want to be with someone who always yells at you when you're not feeling well?

He sounds mean. Even if he was getting annoyed there's no reason to be a brute about it with your girl. (Unless she is explicitly into that).

You can try to conflict resolution with him saying it's okay to feel annoyed but it's not okay to be rude when you're looking for support. I'm assuming that is why you're telling him? You could try to mention that. If you want to.

Long distance also puts a lot of tension on relationships for most people. I don't think it's too common to see those.

Why are you telling him about your period when he is not someone who supports you? Men don't want to hear such things. However, if you suspect you are pregnant, they expect you to say "I had my period, I'm not pregnant."

Young males are often not familiar with this process, and therefore not always sympathetic especially if they have no sisters or are not terribly emotionally empathetic (yet).
