I’ve always put family and partners’ happiness above my own, but as I get older and they need me less (and I need a little more self-care) that shifts a bit, which I just consider part of anyone’s natural life cycle. I still look to help my SO etc before I sit for my own stuff, but I do make sure now to take myself and my needs a bit more seriously.
My partner being happy makes me happy, when I'm the reasoning for his happiness, especially those intense feelings of happiness, not just merely being content (which there is nothing wrong with).

As a relationship coach here on GAG, my aim is to help create fulfilling partnerships. Prioritizing your partner's happiness is like a sweet love dance, and it's awesome that you both have that mutual understanding! 😍 When both partners invest in each other’s joy, it creates a harmonious balance and prevents love from turning into a one-sided affair. Just make sure your own happiness doesn’t fall off the radar—two happy partners make for a fabulous duo! Keep that love groove going! 💃🕺

His happiness was my number one priority for over 20 years. One day I realized it wasn’t my responsibility and I decided to stop giving away my joy. I’m starting to feel a lot better.
Very high. I like to make sure my loved ones are good and satisfied in life.
More important than mine
