Is loyalty everything?

My boyfriend and I believe that loyalty is the most important quality. My boyfriend says it’s the only good thing he learned from his mom, she’s a narc liar & backstabber but surprisingly she’s very loyal & protective of his depressed alcoholic deadbeat dad. I’m loyal because that’s the way I am with the people close to me.

Loyalty is very important if you want to have a long lasting relationship with someone , without loyalty , you both really have nothing but convenience for each other. You can’t expect someone to do for you , if you can’t do for them. Love only grows in a relationship when both people choose each other over everyone else in this world. If you want your relationship to survive and love to continue to grow between you both , loyalty , honesty and trust and respect for each other is the only way that will happen. Cuz without that? your relationship will more than likely fail and you will be back to square one being single again. One of the biggest relationship killers is selfishness , if you can’t remove selfishness for your partner , don’t expect them to do the same for you. Always wear your partners’ shoes when making decisions, don’t just assume you know the outcome of the answer. Everyone has selfishness inside themselves. If you can’t remove it for your partner , then you should never get into a relationship with anyone period. Your single days are pretty much over when you choose to be in a relationship with someone. You can’t have you cake and eat it to. You can , but your relationship more than likely won’t last , if you have that selfish mindset. Most relationships fail because people do not know how to remove selfishness and do not know how to resist temptations. thinking they will get away with it. Those type of people don’t deserve anyone because they are selfish people that only care about themselves. Why I no longer rush into relationships with girls’ , I had my fair share of selfish girls’ that treated me like Gold in the beginning but as time went on , she ended up thinking she was missing out on things and ruined our relationship. By lying and cheating on me behind my back. I now take the slow road when I meet a beautiful girl to give her and I time to really get to know each other before making the big decision to be together 100 percent. Relationships aren’t hard, Selfish people make them hard

I do believe being loyal is one of the most important thing there is. Now someone can be loyal but still a bad partner if they’re abusive, one sided, etc. But once someone even considers cheating the relationship is pretty much a dead end. It’s a dead end road that if you don’t get off of you’ll eventually go over the edge of the mountain.

People make excuses but if they were just not happy they should have broken off the relationship. The truth is cheaters will cheat no matter what you do. But I will say some couples deserve one another.
