Because many don't know what loyalty is nor how to be loyal and those whom knows what it is seeks it. Now days most people have three thoughts in their minds ''Me, My self and I'' i meet these people all the time and their argument is : If i don't put my self first ! Who will? It sounds logical at times abut on the other hand if you don't others first (partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, family member) who will?
The last 20 or 30 years becoming selfish people made it a ''good'' thing somehow and they are passing it through generations and it leads to loyalty becoming old new (rare)
