How and when did you know you loved your partner?

Like truly loved, not just interest or attraction.
I’m at a confused state where I feel like I love my boyfriend but I’m worried I’m confusing it for infatuation. We’re nearly 5 months together in a beautifully caring and affectionate relationship but he hasn’t told me he loves me and I haven’t told him either. So I think we’re both unsure or cautious?
I just want to see what other people have been through (and I also like cute romantic stories hehe)

This is going to sound strange. But when we fall in love there are different levels and if your confused I'm not going to tell you the levels except the last one.. that is when you love yourself and you know everything you want in life and your making it happen

The easiest way to know is by losing them. Of course terrible suggestion, but works. I know the 2 loves of my life so far because things ended. And years later I can still say I love them. It's in the past now but I don't love them any less, just things didn't work out and life moves on.

Meanwhile the rest of my exs I can say I did not and do not love them, and that even goes for my favorite one sure I like her a lot but it wasn't love.

Knowing while with them is hard, and I made bad choices without knowing. Hindsight for sure would make me go back. Now however I think I know the difference but it's something only you personally can know.

Its more that i began to see the good in her and develop trust. Then i made the choice to love her followeed by commitment. What i found is that i really like her in many ways and i choose to love her and that grows and evolves.
