How did you know you loved him/her?

To all wifes, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends, how did you know you loved the other person and it's not just a fling?

i think you can feel when you meet a person, i could fall in love with him/ her. then in a few months you feel like you did.. then years later you know if it was love or lust.

i dont think we ever KNOW in the moment. we just feel it instinctively, and time confirms or denies our initial assertion.

in my opinion its a lot like choosing a puppy from a shelter. you click and you feel you can love him/her. it still takes time to develop that bond, but the chemistry and good intention i there, that leads to a high feeling of confidence it will happen.

i think when we feel we 'know' , its having a lot of passion and confidence in OUR intentions. people with shady intentions are usually the last to recognize they are in love bc it requires self trust,

Despite all my problems he wanted to be with me. He was desperate to be with me. He constantly tries, constantly asked me out, his manners were perfect, and we had fun. I was scared (because of problems) and eventually he lost hope and turned to someone else. We had a row and fell out for a couple months. His team kept saying how much he missed me (we worked at the same place). I got back in touch and forgave him and we started our relationship soon after.

We've been together almost 3 years.

It was during our 4th month and something bad happened and he pushed everyone away because he just wanted to be alone. He didn't contact me for a whole week going on two. That's when I realized I loved him, and wanted to continue being by his side even if he does push me away again.

Love is fun and exciting, but at the end of the day it's a biochemical reaction with symptoms that can bring you to a diagnosis. It's noticeable when you're in love.

I just knew. It sounds stupid, I know, but I literally knew in the first few sentences that she was the one. I knew it was going to be work. It wasn't going to be an easy thing. But I also knew, deep inside, she was worth it. There's no one else I'd rather be with. As cliche as it sounds for someone my age to say it, it's the truth.

I care so much about him. I always want to be with him, I always want to talk to him, I always want to know what he's doing and how he's feeling, and if he's feeling bad I try everything I can to make him feel better. And when he's sad I get really upset too. When I see him smile I can't help but smile too. He is the light of my life and my favorite person in the world.

For me it was a feeling but one that I find very hard to describe properly.

He was an old acquaintance I had asked to meet for a coffee and the day just snowballed from one thing to another. There were not strange butterflies in my tummy or anything just the thought going round and round my head that he was the one.

We were engaged less than a year later, married a year after that and we have now been together very happily for nearly fifteen years.

that I was actually falling mostly for their personality. Their sweetness, their ability to make me laugh. I would think about them all the time (not only about their body), and whenever I see something funny he is the first person I want to share it with. I'd spend my lifetime with him if I could. Something like that would probably mean u really like the dude, and it's not just a fling.

I just wanted him to be okay and if he wasn't I wouldn't stop until I could fix it. I knew I loved him when he was the first and last thing I thought about. I knew I loved him after 6 months of being together and I still get that flutter in my stomach. I trust him This ones kind of pathetic but when I first realized my feelings I just bawled my eyes out cause of my vulnerability.

I knew I loved him because he was my best friend. we knew everything about each other, had the same humour, we could be silly. we were there for each other 100%.
we weren't disgusted with each other's body if one of us was sick.
