So there’s been a lot of disagreement around having basic skills and what you do in your own house being in a relationship or dating versus being married

These things such as cooking and cleaning they’re such a big issue with like being a pick me type of woman or whatever.

My mind is this I am at my own place I already have to clean. I already have to cook for myself if that person that I am with at the time so happen to be there that has nothing to do with my daily chores as a person they can eat. I’m a nice person I don’t want no one to starve. I’m not serving you. We can cook together and you’re not making me do anything out of the kindness of my heart. if it is serious and exclusive, and all of these things there would be extra stuff involved with this mind you we’re not living together we’re not together like those are extra things that are relationship status and marriage goal oriented

personally... I'm a grown up, I am own my place and I can take care of myself like a responsible adult, lol

and I've done it gradually, since I was a kid, a teen, and a young adult... it's just how we were raised really... I can take care of myself and my own place alright, and when I lived with my family... the chores were a family thing, not a "mom does it all thing"

and then, later... when I lived with my exes, we never really had a "discussion" about these things, we just both happened to be capable adults, and able to take care of ourselves and our place on our own, and also together...

No, you're missing the point here -- "girlfriend" can tend to a guy emotionally but he's also still "courting" her, so things like meals aren't a given. A nice home cooked meal after a long day is a treat for the guy, not a given. Cleaning your place for yourself is very different from cleaning your place while he's living with you... or cleaning HIS place, which I've seen some girls do.

"Wife" comes with the "all-inclusive VIP caretaker package" -- and mind you that means he is also offering you the same "all-inclusive VIP caretaker package"... it's not one way. And that's the only person you do that for (till kids come along and take over your universe).

By contrast, "girlfriend"/"boyfriend" status is more like when you go to an event and get the swag bag of merch and treats.

Hey if shit needs to get done I can't sit there and watch someone else work. On the flip side, if my girlfriend or wife won't get off her ass and help out, she's gone. I'm a neat freak. I can't stand clutter or lack of cleanliness. I can cook for myself. I have always done my own laundry. I don't have any gender role hangups when it comes to housework or yardwork. If something needs to be done I'll just do it. I expect the same from a woman. Other than felling trees, shoveling snow or other physical activity I'm just better suited for. Or if she has a health concern or injury. Apart from that, just do whatever needs to be dome.
