Man do care a lot to the woman he really loves and who is important to him and it makes him happy and pleased to see them happy. Also when they see them not ok it breaks their heart and gives them pain so they want to do anything to cheer them up.

Initially they try everything they know to do so. But then they do remember and keep track that what worked or what not on her and how she reached etc. As is very important thing for him to see them happy whom they care so they give it more attention and more closer look. And that's how they know what he has to do when he sees her sad or not okay.
