Yes I've done a long distance relationship before.

I dont know the exact distance we were apart but he was in the UK and I'm in the US.

We met online in a chat room.

We lasted for a year before he cheated on me with someone local.

Didn't meet in person but I was planning on getting my passport so I could. We did a lot of our talking online on Discord or when he streamed on Twitch.

I've only had the one LDR.

I did it because he interested me, we had stuff in common and he was my first foray into dating guys in general.

I would not do it again, nor would I need to since I have both my partners now and that's all I need.

Long time ago, between high school and college, I had a summer romance with a girl about 90 minutes away by car. We met at a picnic, and immediately were attracted to each other. It only lasted a few months. I drove to see her about once a week and she occasionally came to see me. It was my first romance and I have fond memories of it.
