Yes, we met freshman year at college. I lost my AirForce Scholarship after fresman year and she lost her scholarship after sophomore year. We both had to transfer to different colleges.

This was before email or video chat and phone calls were very expensive. We mostly wrote letters to each other. We saw each other once or twice a year. I drove 30 hours straight one time. We did this for over 3 years.

It really was the distance that killed the relationship. It was pretty apparent that there was no way we were going to end up together. I called her late one Saturday night after the rates went down and broke up with her over the phone. It was hard to do but it had to be done.

Yes. A couple of them people can learn a lot about communication in a long distance relationship they can also learn a lot about themselves and energy because the only way to become intimate is through your words your energy and the frequency you put out if done right you can make it feel as if you're standing right in front of the person

Yes. Dated for 3-4 years. Broke up for a yr. Back together and married over 2 years. now.
now… this is an exception… most don’t have the time and money and dedication like we did. So… most don’t work.
we saw each other about 50% of the yr. Prob. more than other couples who lives closer. (Say they only saw each other on weekends).

I think most where the people meet online and rarely, if ever, spend time together then it’s really just a roleplay of a relationship at the end of the day.

Different when it’s just for a period of time and they were already dating though.

Yes, and she broke up with me about a month ago. Trust is the most important thing as well as communication. She broke my trust by lying to me and after that I became suspicious 24 seven and she started getting more and more avoidant because I was getting pushy and clingy as she stopped communicating instead of having any open communication and fix things, she took zero accountability for sleeping with somebody else and lying about it and expected me to trust her 100% after something like that she did sleep with somebody else in the dating stage so we were not officially yet but still you don’t lie about having attractions for somebody else it’s a big red flag and I should’ve left.

Nope tho kinda feels like it with my ex FB cos we talk every day nearly for a year now and sext and flirt and I do things only for him that I don't anyone else.

Not having him physically is so hard though and reason I just couldn't do long distance long term for a relationship.

Three times already, each time to the point of in person meeting. It's a very special way to get to know someone, to figure out how to live a connection. I'd do it again, not for the sake of LDR itself, but for someone I find unique, despite the numerous complexities to face.

I've tried it twice. They didn't work out because neither of us were willing to leave our lives behind for the other. And that's the inherent problem. I maintain that the only way a long-distance relationship can work is if it doesn't remain long distance for more than a few months at most. But there needs to be a plan for being together from the start. Who is moving and when? Figure that out first or don't even bother.

yes, a few, but logistically they just never worked out.
At some point to go any further one person has to move.
For some that isn't possible due to their career, family, and for others can move but it can in the future cause resentment because they had to give up everything.

Yes I have been in the past. It can be difficult. Hard to keep up with your partner on a week to week basis if you can only see each other every few weeks. For some people it works out though.
