Bittersweet memory
Oops GAG cancelled the whole paragraph... let's try again...
When I was younger my dad used to go and sell herbal plants to a local market and I would wake up early at dawn and wait because i was always afraid he'd forget to take me. And one of the plants he would sell was rosemarine. When we'd go he would also buy me a tray of dingy donuts with jam or chocolate. And now as an adult whenever I pick rosemarine I bring it to my nose and take in its familiar scent and it takes me back to that memory.
The senses can truly and viscerally take us back to the past!
