My phone just popped a screenshot of a video call with my ex. We decided that since we couldn’t take photos together, we would take screenshots of us watching movies together, laughing and so on.
So it would feel like we were together, everytime I went to the outing, he’d help me pick an outfit, we had dinners together through video calls, watched movies, talked for hours, fell asleep together, read together. Sometimes we’d just open a video call and he’d work from home and I’d work from home. Just it felt good to know he was there and I was there even if I didn’t talk.
On Valentine’s Day, I ordered a Poster with all of our 700 days of screenshots of us and some Georgian clothes and accessories and sent it to him.
It felt so good to know that even so we were so far, we still had fun together and enjoyed things together.
This photo reminded me of our long distance relationship.
He’s laughing very hard about something and I am laughing too.
It’s nice to remember that I could make him happy even from thousands of miles away.
That being said, I can’t make myself into deleting his photos.
I think I will buy a new mobile phone and archive this one.
Whatever happened in my life, he was part of it. He talked to my friends, he called at me on birthday parties to enjoy being there with me.
I just felt like he was there through it all. I was so happy to have someone who loved me so much.
I love how everyone respected that. No one thought it was weird. Everyone, at home, at my friends circle, respected the fact that his calls were much higher of priority than anything that we did.
