My ex is mad at me. How do I get him back?

My ex is single again and I want to try and get him back. Problem is he is mad at me because he's blaming me for ruining his relationship. I didn't do anything. His girlfriend saw old photos of us together on his phone and got jealous but we were together before he even knew her.

How should I try and reduce his anger? He looks at my facebook but doesn't speak to me or reply to me.

He's done with her. My sister used to be friends with that girl and she heard all the stories about how they used to fight all the time. It was toxic. My worry is that he'll find someone else.
