What are your views on marriage right now?

To begin with, hope gag mark my question is great. I would like to give some background information related to my question.

My brother, a dedicated military provider, married a woman who quickly became detrimental to his life. At first, everything seemed fine, but when he got his dream job, she began to undermine him. She publicly claimed he was a terrible husband and expressed regret over their marriage, while he supported her and provided for their family. Instead of pursuing her ambitions, she focused on controlling him and creating drama. Recently, her sister died under suspicious circumstances, which she falsely labeled a suicide, seemingly to gain sympathy and manipulate others against my brother. She threatens to take everything he has and has turned their children against him, making him unwelcome at important family events. Her behavior has spiraled, and now, after her sister's death, she shifts the narrative to thank him and her family for support, while her true intentions remain suspicious.

At her sister's funeral today, only three flowers were around the casket, creating an eerie atmosphere. The display of her sister's photos was unsettling—none featured her sister with her children, while the children's pictures were separate, giving an impression of jealousy. Following her sister's death, my brother's wife has been active on Facebook, posting eerie messages about her sister. She claims she stays with my brother for the sake of the kids and because her late parents liked him. She lacks the resources to care for their children alone and relies heavily on him. Her sister also had children and sadly passed away just before her son's graduation. Now, the kids are living in their home, and my brother’s wife is just waiting for his military retirement, fearing the loss of benefits and support. She gonna struggle to afford basic necessities like a car and bills, leaving her in a state of uncertainty about the future.

Marriage is good if both people truly love and choose each other , if not , that marriage more than likely won’t last , unless they both choose to fix what is broken between them instead of just walking away. I’m sorry to hear your brother’s marriage isn’t going well , and sorry she is treating your brother that way , but the thing is you can’t just assume she is the reason for all the negativity, something must of happened between her and your brother for her to be acting that way that you don’t know about , unless she was a massive both the second your brother started dating her, which I highly doubt she was cuz he wouldn’t of married her ass period of that was the case. Usually spouses can come off as massive bitches or assholes if they are under a lot of stress or they experienced any sort of trauma , So by her losing her sister was devastating to her , and unfortunately she is taking her frustrations out on your brother , you ever hear the saying You hurt the ones you love the most? That might be the reason she is treating your brother like shit. She treats him like shit because she feels safe with him so she easily puts all her frustrations and anger on to him. So your brother has a choice , he can continue to be her punching bag or he can choose to leave her ass of it’s that bad. Me personally wouldn’t stay in a relationship or a marriage with a girl that constantly makes me her punching bag , I already experienced a few and that’s why they are my exes

His wife sounds like a fairly terrible person, but some of the things you mentioned do seem to be reaching a tiny bit.. My views on Marriage are what marriage is actually supposed to be.. 2 people loving each other through thick and thin, and helping each other making it through life together..

I don't know, you just mentioned how a lot of things didn't "look" and "feel" right.. Or was unsettling.. Now maybe she is that horrible and jealous and really did do something like separation of the children from the mother for that reason..

it really didn't because you can really feel it. Many people actually felt it because of how empty it felt. I am wandering what possible reason could it be to kill her own sister. Could it be that she was interfering with something or knew something she wasn't suppose to? or was it because she was someone who was in her way? we may never know because she definitely not showing no emotions towards it. their parents passed away years ago now. so she is the only sibling left.

Get to know your potential spouse thoroughly and completely, on all subject matters. Entertain the possibility of including a "pre-nup". Understand that your life is not your own anymore. Do not jump into marriage flippantly.
