Yea sometimes I am my own worst enemy and I end up not liking myself , especially since I put on some pounds because I can not work out until I get my surgery done on my lower back completed and healed , which is sadly taking forever , Now that I put on some pounds , my confidence went out the window., so I been backing off from girls’and not putting myself out there like I use to , because before this I was always a confident not shy guy until I encountered this shit in my life. Plus I am older now and don’t feel like I am as good as I once was lol So until I feel confident about myself again my ass isn’t pursuing girls’ even though I want to.

The answer to the question as modified is ‘yes’. Women don’t want less than perfect men initiating social interactions with them, and i know i’m not perfect. Therefore i don’t initiate.
I don’t shy away from others when they initiate interactions with me, however rare.

That’s kind of my point. I’m not going to not interact with girls because of a perceived imperfection, of which I’m sure I have many. It’s the confidence to be engaging despite them that often wins girls over. They’re often more cerebral and less visual than guys. When you see a girl that’s a 10 with a guy who, visibly at least, is a 5, it’s not always just about money
