Is getting married at 31 considered late?

I will be married (first marriage) shortly after turning 31. I don't even have my life and career together, but am I really going to wait another 10 years or so? I had a couple of setbacks, and I am already having to change careers for a second time now. I have a good-sized living space to myself, but I am not even a homeowner and own just 2 real assets, one of which is my car.

I was hoping I would be further along by my age now, but shit happens I guess. Better late than never, and I am happy to have finally found the love of my life.

Probably. I was divorced by 22.
And most folks these days probably figured they'd have managed more with their life by now... but that is likely because they were brought up with cartoons depicting family dynamics set by Boomers and Gen X which simply aren't attainable to more recent generations.

No. Both times dad got married, he was in his 30's. Well, at least the last time. He was 31 just about to turn 32 in about 3 weeks. I can only guess he married Jean when he was 30. Could've been very late 20's.
