What makes a man fall in love with a woman?

This might sound a little vague, but I’m trying to understand the psychology of men here. What exactly makes a man fall for a woman? I’ve got a few male friends, and they’re all so different when it comes to dating. Some of them fall for random girls who keep them on edge all the time. But why would they want a challenge if what they say they’re looking for is peace?

I’ve only been in one relationship, about 4 years ago, and now the whole concept feels kind of alien to me. So, for the men out there who are genuinely looking for love, what do you actually want in a partner? Is it intimacy, understanding, patience, perfectionism, conservatism? What exactly is it?

Going by what I was told about the great love stories in my family, it’s everything… partly a sexual attraction, but Papa used to tell his and Gran’s story to us every year on their anniversary and he described falling for her as being “suddenly lightening struck… then home.” Meanwhile Gran was the quietest most no-nonsense gal in the land, very pious, very active with the church and community, and very aware of Pops’ supposed rep with the ladies back then.

We’d always bee in stitches hearing them argue about their love story… but we always felt secure (three generations later, all holding our own kids tight) that their love flourished and grew.

I neither need or want a woman to fall in love with. I no longer need that in my life. However, despite this I shall give up my time to give you my thoughts.

To fall in love is just wrong to begin with.

Falling hurts:

1) When cavemen hunted, dug pits with spikes to catch their prey, the fall would hurt right?

2) As a child when you fell over, grazed your knee you probably burst out crying as loud as you possibly could just to let the world know how much the pain hurt!

3) Even as an adult, falling over hurts. Even more so for our elder and frail generation.

The same applies for love. You should never fall in love.

No, no-one wants that. For those that require love, do not fall in love. Instead, be loved. There's a HUGE difference.

Before all this starts, you must love yourself before you can love another. Therefore, can you imagine just being yourself and then thinking, "I'm loved. Someone actually loves... me!"

If men want peace, then truth to be told they don't need a woman, as a woman doesn't bring him peace!

If you're a woman and you want to entertain a man to be in his life so you can be the one to love him, then be the following:

Be a wife. I said be a W. I. F. E.

Be a warm, inviting, feminine, emphatic woman.

Another to way to look at it is to bring the 3 Fs and 3 Ss:

Be fit, feminine and friendly.

Bring sandwiches, sex and silence.

Men are simple creatures and if you bring the above given what he does in life and brings to his and your life then it's not much to ask for.

Don't overcomplicate it. And please, whatever you do, don't start an argument with your man just for the sake of having an argument!

Argument begins with the letter A and I never mentioned about bringing an A did I, no!

Just bring 3 Fs, 3 Ss and be a W. I. F. E. woman. Follow this and you'll succeed.

Finally, I predict that if a woman did the above, your man is one day going to look at you and just smile and not say a word. You know why? It's him looking at you and thinking "She makes me so happy because she makes me feel loved."

Sure enough he won't say that to you but the smile says it all.

The only time I think it has happened to me, I wasn't aware of it until it was too late. My attraction to her just snowballed. I always found her physically attractive, but everything else I saw made me like her more and more. She gave me foreign feelings that I'm still trying to recreate.
