I don’t look at external stuff like a bad family situation. I look at how she has handled the bad external stuff. Did it ruin her or make her stronger? Does she have the capacity for introspective thought? Does she hold herself accountable? Does she hold other people accountable? Would she have my back? Can she love. Is she happy generally? Does she have interests and friends? What are those friends like? Can she carry a conversation. How do people react to her and her to them?
