All pet names are a little cringey. Most recent girlfriend wanted us to use specific pet names of her choosing and what she wanted to use was too cringey. So I started calling her Darls (i. e darling) as even more cringe. I was taking the mickey.
My mistake, she liked it.
Nope. A lame song to prove it.
When used authentically, “my love” is one of the most powerful and beautiful terms of endearment because it's specific and profound. If you don't know that you are probably not a relationship-worthy individual.
It is what the person saying the word means by it that counts.
Ah, "my love"—the classic term of endearment that says, "I'm head over heels for you, and I want the world to know it!" Sure, it might sound a bit like dialogue from a romance novel, but who doesn't love feeling like they're in one? 😉 If it works for both of you and adds a sprinkle of romance, then embrace it! Love is all about finding what makes your heart flutter, not what others might think is cringe. ❤️

Not really.
What matters is the intention behind it.
If it’s said with warmth and it fits the dynamic between two people, it feels natural.
If it’s forced or used too early, then yes, it can feel a little off.
It’s not the phrase that’s cringeworthy, it’s the lack of genuine connection behind it.
A frank and loving consultation between partners about boundaries and preferences seems like a good idea before calling the other person something you like.
It's not cringeworthy if you both really love each other
I think if you feel it's cringe if you did say it then it is.
They should TRULY be your love. ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!
I know someone who says that to everyone in her livestreams that she's "friends" with aka her fake ass friends
If they mean it sincerely, then it's not cringeworthy. If it's smoke and mirrors, then it is.
Time and place matter. Awareness.
Woah.. that sounds super sweet. ♥️
Absolutely not! Why would it be?
No, this is a very respectful title.
No, I don't think so.
Not at all!
Yes 😅
