Married women, at what level is a husband's attraction to his wife's butt desirable? At what point does it become dehumanizing?

Okay so there is a difference between a passing comment admiring a wife's figure that might lead her to be flattered that after all those years you still find her "sexy". That's perfectly acceptable. Then there is the psychological view of "fixation" which dates back to someone you've likely heard of... Dr. Freud. It is something that is taught in entry level pysch classes and focuses on the intensity and consuming effects that "fixation" has. It isn't like saying gee my husband is really fixated on watching that sports game. It is a consuming thing that clouds the mind. Now dehumanizing a human and fixating on a particular body part are different things. Dehumanizing is looking at a person not as a human but in an animalistic way. Fixation which I suspect would be the more likely culprit in the case you lay out does not so much fit a psychological definition of dehumanizing behaviors unless there is more context. I am neither married nor in a relationship and to be honest, the attraction to body parts is in a way dehumanizing.

As soon as a body part becomes like an obsession or something that takes precedence over the personality or character of a person, it simply means that women are objectified for their bodies and not for what they are as a human being. Some women are even considered to be lower than a dog.

If I was in a relationship, I would certainly not like to be the target of a fixation of a body part. That to me is a red flag in a relationship.

There is a distinction between admiring it and becoming fixated on it. I could never be with a man that immature to be obsessive over a body part.
