My ick is "my love" it makes me feel like they are lying to me because when I say "I love you" I put emotion behind it. You feel it in my voice. Using it like a pet name takes the power away from what that world really means. That makes me not feel like "their love" when they call me "my love"

I like being called something that not normal and makes me feel different then anyone else. Like a pet name special for me the last guy definitely didn't get called. You got to come up with it just for me; that will make me like it the best.

An ex called me pumpkin because how her and I met, it has a long background story im not going to type, but that made it special and as silly as that is it'll always been one of my all time favorites. It would tickle my heart everytime she'd called me pumpkin

Anything overly cheesy, baby talk ish, or names that feel like they’re copied from the internet.

I enjoy nicknames unique to the relationship, from an inside joke between the two of us. My ex used to call me bean a lot and would mash up words with it which lead to him calling me “beanis”. (Yup bean and penis😹) guess he had dick on the brain that day lol but it was amusing and that dumb shit stuck. The only name to give me the ick has been “pumpkin”. My dad called me that throughout childhood so hearing it come out of the mouth of a man that was folding me like a pretzel was NOT it
